Obituary

Wednesday Willie McCarty died at the Stanifer Sanitarium as the result of a complication of diseases. He was brought to the Sanitarium last week for an operation. Dr. Stanifer removed a number of gall stones and also ulcers from the liver. However, the operation though successful, was too late to overcome the effects of the diseases and Mr. McCarty died Wednesday morning at eight o´clock.

Willis McCarty was one of the best men of the country. He came to Dickens county with his family about ten years ago and during the time made many friends and prospered. At the time of his death he lived in the Afton country and the remains were interred in the cemetery in that place.

In the death of Willis MCarty the country has lost a recognized citizen of worth. He was true to his home, loyal to friends and his country and a man in every sense of the word.

The Texas Spur extends sincere condolence to the bereaved family and relatives.
