AFTON — Graveside services for Madge Rose Ligon, 87, of St. Louis, formerly of Lubbock, will be at 3 p.m. Saturday in Afton Cemetery.

Arrangements are under the direction of Seigler Funeral Home of Matador.

She died Wednesday, June 6, 2001.

She was born April 10, 1914, in Dickens County and married W.A. "Bill" Ligon on Feb. 5, 1937, in Breckenridge. He died in 1972. She lived in the Afton community from 1944 to 1971 and also lived in Lubbock from 1971 until she moved to St. Louis in 1999. She was a Baptist.

Survivors include two daughters, Lane Thomas of Lubbock and Melinda Ligon of St. Louis; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
