Robert HughesU.S.Flag   Robert Michael Hughes, 54, of Lubbock, died Tuesday. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, with Bishop Don Johnston officiating. Burial will follow in the Afton Cemetery.

"Mike" was born to Pete and Bernita Hughes in Midland and he attended schools in Lubbock and graduated from Coronado High School in 1972. He honorably served in the U.S. navy from 1975 through 1979. He spent his career in screen printing and retail management.

Mr. Hughes is survived by his mother, Bernita Hughes; two brothers, Boyd Brooks of Cove, Ark. and Bill Hughes of Lubbock; three sisters, Janet Hunton of Lubbock, Luann Stone of Jackson, Mich. and Carol Weidmann of Denver, Colo. Mike loved his many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made in Mike's Honor to Veterans War Memorial through the American Legion Post 575, P.O. Box 64427.
