Mass for Daniel Emilio Guzman, 13, of Afton were Friday, May 15, 1998 in the St. Mary´s Catholic Church in Spur.

Rev. Glenn Rosendale officiated. Burial was in the Afton Cemetery under the direction of Campbell Funeral Home of Spur.

Guzman died Tuesday, May 12, 1998 in University Medical Center in Lubbock. He was born May 1, 1985 in Delicias, Mexico. He has lived in Afton the last six years. He was a member of St. Mary´s Catholic Church. He attended Patton Springs Schools where he was a seventh grader. He was active in football, basketball, and track. He was a member of the local 4-H.

Survivors include his father, Emilio Guzman; his mother, Veronica Guzman; two brothers, Raul and Jesus; and one sister Diana Guzman all of Afton.
