Victor Franklin Picture WELLMAN - Services for Victor E. Franklin, 82, of Wellman will be at 10 a.m. today at Wellman Church of Christ with Dwight Franklin officiating and Bryan Pitaniello assisting.

Burial will be at 3 p.m. today at Afton Cemetery under the direction of Head Family Funeral Home of Seagraves.

He died Sunday, April 15, 2001.

He was born Aug. 10, 1918, in Roaring Springs and married Norlene Roberts on Nov. 3, 1946, in Paducah. He had lived in Texas all his life and in Wellman since 1947, moving from Afton.

He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Air Force. He was a farmer and a cotton ginner, a member of the Seagraves Senior Citizens Center and the Wellman Church of Christ.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Dwight of Seminole and David of Honolulu, Hawaii; a daughter, Darlene Dunn of Lubbock; two brothers, Ernest of Wolfforth and Jerry of Ajo, Ariz.; three sisters, Margaret Adams of Amarillo, Elsie McMillian of Buffalo Lake and Gene Fudge of Littlefield; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials to Seagraves Senior Citizens Center, P.O. Box 584, Seagraves, TX 79359.
