U.S.Flag   Services for Don Clark Forbis, 53, of Afton, were at 3 p.m. March 24, 1990 in the Afton Baptist Church with Dr. Darwin Scott, pastor of the First Baptist Church, Littlefield, officiating; he was assisted by Rev. C.L. Atkinson of the Afton Baptist Church.

Burial was in Afton Cemetery under direction of Campbell Funeral Home.

Forbis died March 21 about 9:40 p.m. in Methodist Hopsital, Lubbock following a lengthy illness. He was born Octoer 7, 1936 in Dickens County. He was a rancher and had lived here most of his life. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Roaring Springs.

He married Wanda Wise on December 23, 1986 in Garden City, Texas. He was a member of the Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Wanda Forbis, Afton; two sons, Russell Forbis, Snyder; Heath Forbis, Austin; two step-sons, Berry Johnson, Andrews, Billy Johnson, Mineral Wells; one brother, Bob Forbis, Afton; one sister, Rhonda Wheeless, Crosbyton; his mother, Vera Belle Forbis, Ralls.

The family suggests memorials to the Afton Cemetery Association.
