Roy Faubus Is Buried In Afton
Funeral services for Roy S. Faubus, 59, were held Sunday at the Afton Missionary Baptist Church, Rev. E.J. Norman, Childress, officiating.
Mr. Faubus had lived in the Dickens community since 1939. He was employed by the Pitchfork Ranch.
Survivors include his wife, three sons, Claude Faubus, Dimmitt; Clyde Faubus, Des Moines, Iowa; Curtis Faubus, McAdoo; two daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Gregory, McAdoo and Mrs. Howard Taylor, Muleshoe; two brothers, John Faubus, Graham, Robert Faubus, Austin; two sisters, Mrs. Vina Canterberry, Abilene; Mrs. Ala Holland, Corpus Christi.
Pallbearers were Martin Shives, Doc Henderson, Sam Porter, Davis Hale, Jeff Randolph and Luther Porter.
Interment was in Afton Cemetery.
