Funeral services were held last Thursday at 10 a.m. in the First Baptist Church, Spur, for Marshall (Bunk) Day, 62. Rev. Norris Taylor officiated.
Mr. Day, an electronics engineer, died at his home in Alamogordo, NM on May 12. He made his home in Spur from 1930 to 1940 and had resided in Alamogordo since.
He is survived by his wife, Stella Day, Alamorgordo, NM; two daughters, Joy Smith, Darrington, Washington and Geletta Lemos, Watsonville, CA; one son, Kenneth Day, Lexington, MO; two sisters, Mrs. Jewel Pendergrass, Phoenix, AZ; Mrs. Ray Bateman, Afton; ten grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Pallbearers included Claude Barclay, Alvis Bilberry, Jimmy Perryman, John Stokes, Tommy Hale, Clarence Alexander.
Burial was in Afton Cemetery.
