Graveside services for Virgil L. Bradford, 80, of Madera, California were Tuesday, December 2, 1997 at the Afton Cemetery. Rev. C.L. Atkinson of Afton officiated. Burial was under the direction of Campbell Funeral Home.

Mr. Bradford died at his residence November 21, 1997. He was a native of Dickens, Texas. He married Ruth Goolesby December 18, 1935 in Roaring Springs. He has lived in Madera for the last 35 years. He worked for Griffin Ranches and Rasco Chemicals Inc. of Kerman, California, and he was manager for Royal Palms Mobile Estates for 20 years.

Survivors include his wife, Ruth Bradford, Madera; one son, Dennis Bradford, Sapulpa, Oklahoma; one daughter, Barbara Mendes, Kerman, California; three sisters, Mildren Woods, Flora Rich and Odell Goss all of Dickens, Texas; seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
