Services for Moonyeen "Corkie" Bennett, 58, Dennard, Arkansas were at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 9, 1991 in Dickens Church of Christ with Perry Mason, minister, officiating.

Burial was in Afton Cemetery under the direction of Rix Funeral Directors in Lubbock.

Mrs. Bennett died Saturday afternoon in a family member´s Lubbock residence after a lengthy illness.

She was born in Afton and married Ronnie Bennett on June 8, 1956, in Odessa. She moved from Spur to Denard, Arkansas in 1967. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ. A son, James Doyle Hinson, died in September, 1976.

Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Shawnee Clay, Lubbock and Gayle Morton, Little Rock, Arkansas; her mother, Jack Hext, Dickens; two sisters, Darla Schwartz and Jerry Leverick, Odessa; a brother, Jimmy Jack Hext, Lubbock; and three grandchildren.

The family requests memorials to the American Cancer Society.
