Services for Allie M. Barton, 89, of Afton, were at 3 p.m. Tuesday in the Afton Baptist Church. Rev. Leonard Sims, pastor of First Baptist Church in Matador, officiated.

Burial was in Afton Cemetery.

Mrs. Barton died Monday morning at Lakeside Nursing Home in Lubbock after a lengthy illness. She resided in Dickens County and Matador from 1917 until becoming a Crosbyton Nursing Home resident in 1967. She had been in the Lubbock nursing home the past year.

Survivors include a son, Jack of Lubbock; a daughter, Mrs. Byron Haney of Afton; a brother, C. C. Martin of Lyndale; and one grandchild.
