Funeral services for Troy N. Wampler, 62, of Ralls were held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Ralls First Baptist Church with the Rev. Lee Fuller, pastor, and the Rev. Jerry Golden, pastor of Lorenzo First Baptist Church, officiating.
Burial was in Ralls Cemetery under direction of Carter-Adams Funeral Home.
He died at 11 p.m. Monday in Methodist Hospital in Lubbock after a lengthy illness.
He was born in Perrin. He was a building contractor. He was a World War II veteran. He married Dorothy Marie McKeown in Lubbock, March 14, 1942.
He moved to the South Plains in 1940 from Knox County. He moved to Ralls in 1961.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Wade of Canadian, Monte of Florence, Colo., and Larry of Lorenzo; a daughter, Nancy Collier of Russellville, Ark.; three brothers, Brady C. of Rule, Earl of Lake Kemp and Irvin of Lubbock; two sisters, Opal Harrison of Lubbock and Elsie Pierson of O'Brien; and 12 grandchildren.
