Eloise Vasquez photoEloise V. Vasquez 90, of Spur, Tx. passed away Saturday February 13, 2016 at her residence.

Eloise was born Oct. 8, 1925 in Waco, Texas to Manuel and Beatrice Vargas. She married the love of her life Leonardo Vasquez on November 23, 1940 in Spur, Tx. Eloise was a homemaker, and enjoyed spending her time with family and church friends. Her greatest accomplishment was being a preacher�s wife for many years with Leon pastoring 5 churches, and ministering the Word Of God to whomever would listen. She lived everyday of her life, for her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

She is survived by her children; Leandro Vasquez, Consuelo Garcia, Alfredo Vasquez, Cecilia Rios, Juanita Kay Valdez, Guadalupe Romero, Juan Vasquez, Irma Sanchez, Leonard Vasquez, Margie Valerio, Olivia Islas and Norma Lara along with numerous Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, and Great Great Grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters Josefina Pompa and Elizabeth Nevarez. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 72 years Leonardo Vasquez, daughter Leonor Casillas and her beloved sisters Mary Lee Martinez and Sally Tarango.

Visitation and Funeral services were held Wednesday, Feb. 17 in Lubbock, Tx under the care of Resthaven Funeral Home with burial at the Ralls Cemetery where her earthly body was laid to rest by Leon Vasquez.
