U.S.Flag Graveside services for William R. "Bill" Skirlock, 67, of Idalou will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 4, 1997, in Ralls Cemetery with Ken Free, minister of the Emma Church of Christ in Ralls officiating.

Burial is under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Ralls.

Skirlock died Saturday at Lubbock's Methodist Hospital. He was born Jan. 4, 1930, in Lorenzo.

He married Ita Mae "Shorty" Danner on Jan. 27, 1962, in Lorenzo. She died Sept. 21, 1982. He then married Victoria Allen on Dec. 17, 1986, in Wolfforth.

He was a member of the Church of Christ.

He was a criminal investigator for the District Attorney's office in Lubbock for several years. He served as a Justice of the Peace in Idalou. He was the former owner of the B&B Grocery in Idalou.

He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He moved to Idalou in 1970 from Ralls.

He is survived by his wife.
