Joe M. Silva, 95, departed this life August 16, 2005 at his Ralls home with his loving family by his side. He was born August 5, 1910, the first son to Macedonio and Sabina Silva. He married Ernestine Arrambinez on October 27, 1939 in Crosbyton.
Throughout his life he was an avid baseball fan and loved playing baseball with the farmer's league. He helped build and was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church in Ralls where he was a member of the Men's Organization, Parrish Council and was a Cursillista. He moved to the Ralls area in 1953 and farmed there for over 45 years.
He is preceded in death by two daughters, Ophelia Munoz and Linda Silva both of Ralls. Those left to mourn his passing are his wife, Ernestine Silva of Ralls, his children, David Silva (Linda), of Crosbyton, Joe Silva, Jr. of Ralls, Sylvia Gamez (Rick) of Pflugerville, Dollie Guerra (Henry) of Lubbock, Loyd Silva (Lynn) of Lubbock and Tommy Silva of Austin, a son-in-law, Louis Munoz of Ralls, 20 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.
A rosary will be held at 7:00 PM Thursday, August 18, 2005 in St. Michael's Catholic Church in Ralls. Mass will be celebrated Friday at 10:00 AM at the same church with Rev. Jesse Cruz officiating. Burial will follow in the Ralls Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Ralls. The family wishes to thank VistaCare Hospice of Lubbock for their loving care.

Earnestine Silva 93 of Ralls passed away March 17, 2015.
She was born October 5, 1921 in Laredo Texas to Jesus and Maria Ibanez Arrambinez. She married Joe Silva Sr. October 27, 1939 in Crosbyton, Texas. She was a member of the St. Michael Catholic Church, a Guadalupana, and a Cursillista.
She is preceded in death by her husband, two daughters; Ophelia Munoz and Linda Silva, a son Tommy Silva, and a grandson Jimmy Munoz.
Earnestine is survived by her children; David Silva and wife Linda of Crosbyton, Joe Silva of Ralls, Sylvia Gamez and husband Rick of Pflugerville, Dollie Guerra and husband Henry of Lubbock, and Loyd Silva and wife Lynn of Lubbock. She also leaves behind 20 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.
The family would like to thank the staff at Garrison House and Gentiva Hospice for the care they gave their mother. Funeral Mass will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday March 19, 2015 at the St. Michael Catholic Church. Burial will follow in the Ralls Cemetery under the care of Adams Funeral Home of Ralls. Rosary Service will be held 7:00 pm. Wednesday at the same church.
