Rosary for Jose Rios Sifuentes, 62, of Ralls were held at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 10, 1997, in the St. Michael's Catholic Church with Rev. Malcolm Neyland, Judicial Vicar of the Diocese of Lubbock, officiating.Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, April 11, 1997, in the same church with the same offciant.
Burial will follow in the Ralls Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home.
Mr. Sifuentes died at 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 8, 1997, in Lubbock's St. Mary Hospital following an illness.
He was born Sept. 13, 1934, in Kenedy, TX; and married Evanglina Guerrero on Dec. 11, 1959, in Floydada, TX. He was a farmer. He moved to the Ralls area several years ago and to Ralls in 1982. He was a member of the St. Michael's Church.
Survivors include his wife, Eva Sifuentes of Ralls; four daughters, Joci Cuellar, Mary Lou Sifuentes, Elizabeth Lira, and Olivia Salas all of Ralls; four brothers, Amador R. Sifuentes of Ocilla, GA, and Prudencio Sifuentes, Juan Sifuentes, and Fidel R. Gomez all of Lubbock; five sisters, Eugenia Sifuentes of Lubbock, Aurelia Sifuentes of Crosbyton, Estella Rendon of Snyder, Maria Sifuentes of Houston, and Olvana Protio of Del Valle, TX; and six grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Jamie Gomez, Phillip Gomez, Moises Sifuentes, Demencio Sifuentes, Paul Sifuentes, Mark Sifuentes, and Charles Justice.
