RALLS (Special)- Services for Oscar B. Sandlin, 86, of Ralls will be at 4 p.m. Wednesday in Ralls First Baptist Church with the Rev. Jim Morrow, pastor, officiating.

Burial will be in Ralls Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home.

Sandlin died Sunday, Sept. 29. 1996, in Crosbyton Clinic Hospital.

He was born July 7, 1910. He married June Delen Bragg on Feb. 21, 1934, in Paducah. She died Nov. 3, 1973. He moved to Ralls in 1981. He was a Baptist.

He was a mechanic in Ralls, and he was a mechanic at Pollard Friendly Ford in Lubbock. He was former chief of police at Buena Vista, Colo., and he served on the police forces in Levelland and Farmington, NM. A daughter, Jo Carol Thompson, died in 1984.

Survivors include a daughter, Joyce Knight Wighton of Pagosa Springs, Colo.; four sisters, Mary Yarborough and Dovie Ellis, both of Paducah, and Ruby Downing and Esther Dale Lemon, both of Lubbock; five grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.
