John D. Sales, 75, of Lorenzo, passed away on Tuesday, November 8, 2011, in Lubbock. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, November 10, 2011, at First United Methodist Church in Lorenzo with Rev. Gary Boles officiating. Burial will follow in Ralls Cemetery under the care of Adams Funeral Home. A visitation for family and friends will held from 6-8 P.M., Wednesday at the Adams Funeral Home in Lorenzo.
John was born on February 23, 1936, in Robertson, Texas to John W. and Laura E. Sales. He was a lifelong farmer and an avid domino player. He was also an avid Idalou Wildcat Fan.
He was preceded in death by his parents and several siblings.Survivors include his nephew, Michael Sales and wife Tracy and their children, Megan, Matthew, and Weston and wife Whitney and their son, Stedson, his sister, Sarah Jane Dycus and husband Bugs and their children, his brother Billy Reeves Sales and numerous friends.
Memorial contributions may be made to First United Methodist Church of Lorenzo.
