Harold Rhew photo Services for Harold Rhew, 81, of Lubbock were held at 10 a.m. Monday October 20, 1997, in Oakwood United Methodist Church with the Rev. James G. Nunn, pastor, officiating.

Burial was in Ralls Cemetery under direction of Franklin-Bartley Funeral Home.

Rhew died Thursday, Oct. 16, 1997, at his residence.

He was born in Ladonia. He moved to Lubbock in 1940. He was a member of Oakwood United Methodist Church, and he was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II. He married Stella Martin on July 29, 1938, in Floydada. A son, Jerry E., preceded him in death.

He was a traveling parts salesman for Fenner Tubbs Co. until retiring.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Judy Reeves of Amarillo and Joyce Dye of Wolfforth; a sister, Laura Jean Blevins of Lubbock; a brother, Jack of Lorenzo; a half sister, Sarah Jane Dycus of Lorenzo; three half brothers, A.J. Sales of Hurst, Billy R. Sales of Lubbock and John D. Sales of Lorenzo; four grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

The family suggests memorials to Oakwood United Methodist Church, 2115 58th St., Lubbock, Texas 79412.

Stella Rhew photoFamily and friends of Stella Rhew will gather at Ralls Cemetery to celebrate her eighty-eight years of life on Tuesday, September 18, 2007, at 10 a.m., with Reverend Eddie Marcum officiating. Mrs. Rhew left her earthly body to join our Lord and Savior on Saturday, Sept. 15, 2007.

Stella was born Dec. 11, 1918, in Robertson, to Archie and Ellen Shipp Martin. She married Frank Harold Rhew on July 29, 1938, in Crosby County. He preceded her in death on Oct. 16, 1997. Mrs. Rhew was employed with the LISD as a cafeteria clerk from 1960 until retiring from Evan's Junior High School in 1980. She was member of Oakwood United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her two daughters, Joyce Sartor and spouse Gerald and Judy Reeves of Amarillo; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
