SERVICES HELD FOR LEWIS V. RASCO

U.S.Flag Services for Lewis V. "Bud"' Rasco, 70, of Ralls, formerly of Levelland, were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 14, 2001, at Ralls First Baptist Church with the Rev. Merle Fulmer officiating.

Burial followed in Ralls Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Ralls.

He died Thursday, April 12, 2001, at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock.

He was born Oct. 5, 1930, in Petersburg.

He married Lorene Rasco. He was a member of Second Baptist Church in Levelland. He was a 1950 graduate of Petersburg High School. He served in the U.S. Army from 1951 until 1953 in France and then transferred to the reserves, from which he was discharged in 1956. He moved to Ralls in January 2001 from Levelland.

Survivors include his wife, Lorene; a stepdaughter, Carolyn Rolluitz of Levelland; a sister, Nancy Culver and her husband, Harold of Slaton; six nieces, Judy Pelkey and Sandra Moore of Ralls, Sharon McCarthy of Slaton, Jean Ann Brown of Arlington, Jennifer Webb of Dallas, and Jennell Saeza of Blue Ridge; three nephews, Larry Hill of Lubbock, Kelvin Culver of Levelland and James Wingquist of North Carolina.
