Mass for Juanita Ramos Ramirez, 71, of Ralls was celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 16, 1996, in St. Michael's Catholic Church in Ralls with Rev. Gerald Leatham, pastor, officiating.
Burial followed in the Ralls Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Ralls.
Rosary was at 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 15, 1996, in the same church.
Mrs. Ramirez died at 2:45 p.m. Monday May 13, 1996 in the Crosbyton Clinic Hospital following an illness.
She was born Jan. 5, 1925 in Kingsville, TX, and married Juan Mata Ramirez Feb. 2, 1947 in Kingsville. He preceded her in death Oct. 5, 1974. She was a homemaker and a member of the St. Michael's Catholic Church in Ralls. She moved to Ralls in 1951.
She was preceded in death by a son, Joel R. Ramirez who died Jan. 13, 1987.
Survivors include her stepmother, Juanita Ramos of Bishop; five sons, Juan Ramirez, Jr., and Julian Ramirez both of Lubbock, Jose Ramirez of New Deal, and Jessie Ramirez and Jorge Ramirez both of Ralls; two daughters, Ophelia Minor and Jo Ann Hernandez both of Ralls; seven brothers, Gabriel Ramos of Austin, and Luis Ramos, Jesus Ramos, Robert Ramos, Felipe Ramos, Victor Ramos and Lupe Ramos all of Bishop; five sisters, Ernestina Garza, Beatrice Guiterez, Juanita Ramos, Florentina Garza, and Mary Alicia Reyes all of Bishop; 25 grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.
