Obituary

H.M. Patterson
Last rites for H.M. (Dick) Patterson, 56, Sedan, NM, were held at 2 p.m. Sunday in Ralls First Baptist Church. Mr. Horace Burns, Albuquerque,NM, officiated, assisted by Mrs. Tommy Allen, Hale Center. Burial was in Ralls Cemetery under direction of Carter Funeral Home.

Mr. Patterson died Thursday in a Lubbock hospital. He was pastor of Sedan First Baptist Church and in 1951 was director of music for South Side Baptist Church at Lubbock.

He is survived by his wife; three daughters, Mrs. Ross Harmonson, Mills Valley, Calif.; Mrs. Roy Schluter, Ralls, and Mrs. Jim Fisk, Plainview; and three brothers, Jim Tahoka; Ben, Winnsboro, and Joe Monahans.

Gladys Patterson
LEVELLAND (Special) - Services for Gladys M. Malone, 80, of Spencer, Iowa, will be at 2 p.m. Friday in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Charles Thrasher, pastor, officiating.

Burial will be in Ralls Cemetery under direction of Geo. C Price Funeral Directors.

She died at 11:30 p.m. Monday in Spencer Municipal Hospital after a brief illness.

She was born in Temple and moved from Plainview to Spencer in 1983. She married Dick Patterson in February 1926. He died in July 1962. She married the Rev. R.C. Malone in June 1965. He died in July 1984. She was a former housemother for two Lubbock children´s home and a dorm mother at Plainview´s Wayland Baptist University. She was a member of Northbrook Baptist Church in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Survivors include three daughters, Wanda Daniel of Levelland, Shelba Harmonson of Cedar Rapids and Patsy Fisk of Longmont, Colo.; three stepsons, Dawson of Plainview; Doyle of Arlington and Bill of Midland; five stepdaughters, Lucille Bailey, Lecia Carroll and Ann Chaddick, all of Houston, Evelyn Wood of Montgomery, Ala., and Orba Lee of El Paso; a sister, Vivian Vest of Ennis; 14 grandchildren; and 21 great grandchildren.
