Services for Johnnie Parish, 82, of Idalou, were held at 2 p.m. Friday, December 26, 1986 in Lubbock's Westmont Christian Church with the Rev. Dudley Strain, associate pastor, officiating

Burial was in Ralls Cemetery under direction of Carter-Adams Funeral Home of Ralls.

She died at 9:50 a.m. Tuesday, December 23, 1986 in Lubbock's St. Mary's Hospital after a lengthy illness.

She was born in Johnson County, moved to the Ralls area in 1940 and to Idalou in 1970. She married G.B. "Jack" Parish on October 9, 1938 in Red Springs. He died May 11, 1963. She was a housewife, a 40 year member of the Ralls Bridge Club and a member of Westmont Christian Church.

Survivors include a stepson, Rex of Lubbock; two daughters, Melinda Gilbreath of Idalou and Orphie Conner of Colorado City; two stepdaughters Maylene Mickey of Plainview and Betty Henry of Phoenix, Arizona; a sister, Addie Patton of Irving; 14 grandchildren; and several great grandchildren.
