Sharp Parker

U.S.Flag Services for Clarence L. "Sharp" Parker, Sr., 91, of Ralls, were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, January 6, 1998, in the Ralls First Baptist Church with the Rev. Jim Morrow, pastor, officiating.

Burial followed in the Ralls Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Ralls.

Mr. Parker died at 1 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 4, 1998, at his Ralls residence following an illness. Justice of the Peace James Isbell ruled natural causes in the death.

Mr. Parker was born Sept. 19, 1906, in Greenville, TX, and married Anna Irene Bolton on Sept. 19, 1924, in Paris, TX, she preceded him in death Feb. 10, 1994. He was a carpenter and a member of the Baptist church. He served in the Army during WWII. He moved to Ralls in October of 1949 from Lamesa.

He was preceded in death by a son, Clifford Parker, who died on Sept. 16, 1991.

Survivors include three sons, Roy L. Parker of Seminole, Louis E. Parker of Altus, OK, and Clarence Parker, Jr. of Ralls; two daughters, Myrtle Spurlock of Lamesa and Linda Washington of Ralls; a brother, Virgil Parker of Pittsburg, TX; a half-sister Gladene Hively of Pittsburg, TX; 13 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren.
