Obituary

RALLS (Special) — Services for Mrs. Mary Ellen Parchman,40, Rt. 1, Lorenzo, will be at 2 p.m. today at Lorenzo First Baptist Church. The Rev. John H. Martin and the Rev. D.L. Lowrie, both of Lubbock will officiate.

Burial will be in Ralls Cemetery under direction of Carter Funeral Home.

Mrs. Parchman died at 11:15 a.m. Tuesday at West Texas Hospital, Lubbock, where she had been a patient since Sunday.

Born in Red River County, Tex., Mrs. Parchman moved to the Lorenzo area in 1938.

Survivors are the husband, Roger M.; two daughters, Janis Ann, of the home, and Mrs. Sue Ellen Moore, Lorenzo; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. T.A. Lowe, 2709 Duke St., Lubbock, three sisters, Mrs. Morris Young, Lorenzo, Mrs. A.L. Rosenberger, Wichita Falls, and Mrs. R.A. Whipple, Freeport; and one grandchild.

Services for Roger Parchman, 74, of Lubbock were held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 17, 1994, in the Lorenzo First Baptist Church with Rev. Mike McEuen, pastor of Southwest Baptist Church in Lubbock, and the Rev. Robert Isaacs, assistant pastor, officiating.

Burial was in Ralls Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Ralls.

Parchman died at 2:02 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 15, 1994, in ST. Mary's Hospital in Lubbock.

He was born June 1, 1920, in Robertson. He married Mary Ellen Lowe on Jan. 18, 1943, in Monahans. She preceded him in death on September 8, 1964. He was a farmer and member of the Baptist Church & American Legion. He enlisted in the Air Force June 4, 1942 and his group received the Presidential Unit Citation and six battle stars as they operated from England against the European mainland on September 7, 1945. He moved to Lubbock in 1982 from Robertson. He was preceded in death by two brothers: George Welmon "Buddy" Parchman in October 7, 1984 and Arnold Truitt Parchman in October 10, 1980; and by a sister, Pauline Davis.

Survivors include two daughters, Sue Wallace and Janice Mackey, both of Lubbock; two brothers, Alton H. "Pete" Parchman of Lorenzo and Richard Parchman of Lubbock; a sister, Wilma Graves of Idalou; and five grandchildren, Shawn Troy Wallace of Dallas, David Moore of Atlanta, GA, Barbara Andrews of Lubbock, Doyle Mackey of Arlington and Bryan Mackey of Lubbock.
