Funeral services for Grover Cleveland Maupin 91, of Stephenville, were at 10 a.m. Thursday at the 17th and Ave. N Church of Christ in Lubbock with Ran Allison, minister from Stephenville, officiating.

Burial was at the Ralls Cemetery under the direction of Franklin-Bartley Funeral Home, Lubbock.

He died at 7 a.m. Tuesday in the Stephenville Hospital after an illness.

He was born in Missouri. He had lived in Stephenville since 1970. He also had lived in Artesia, N.M., Ralls, Crosbyton, Levelland and Lubbock. He had owned and operated Whites Auto Store. He married Dora Savage in 1913 in Oklahoma. She died July 3, 1959. He then married Jewell Bryant on Aug. 22, 1960 in Artesia, N.M. He was a member of the Church of Christ.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Christene Cash of Lubbock; two sons, Herschel of Dangerfield and James H. of Artesia, N.M.; a stepdaughter, Beverly McIntyre of Lubbock; and a stepson, Robert Bryant of Corpus Christi.
