Aida LiraAida Lira, 81, of Ralls passed away Friday, March 8, 2013 at her residence with her family by her side. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, March 11, 2013 at St. Michaels Catholic Church in Ralls with Father Samuel Oracion officiating. Burial will follow in the Ralls Cemetery under the care of Adams Funeral Home.

A Rosary will be held at 7:00 P.M. Sunday, March 10, 2013 at the same church.

Aida was born June 7, 1931 in Brownsville, TX to the late Anastacio and Bernarda (Salinas) Guitron. In 1951 she married the love of her life Frank Lira, Sr. in Lubbock; they raised their seven children. Aida was a lifelong member of St. Michaels Guadalupanas, Legion of Mary and a Minister of Eucharist. She loved spending time with her husband, children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband, Frank Lira, Sr. of Ralls, four daughters, Margaret Cantu of Cone, Rosa Trevino of Plainview, Sylvia McNair of Oklahoma, Melissa Lira of Post, three sons, Frank Lira, Jr. of Haskell, Carlos Lira of Crosbyton and Joey Lira of Cone, 22 grandchildren, 41 great grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren.
