Robert Lee Keele was born May 11,1892, in Bell County, and was only about a month old when his father died. He grew up as the baby of the family and his mother stayed near him all of his life. She visited the other boys, but lived, for the most part, with or near Robert. He died on May 5, 1936, in an accident near Lubbock and is buried in Ralls Cemetery.Robert Lee Keele was first married to Lillie May Green on December 24, 1910, in Runnels County, Texas. They were the parents of; Gladys, Eula May, Robbie Dee , Jewell and Susie. Lillie contracted measles in 1934 and died from the complications of it. She was pregnant at the time and the baby was also lost. Robert was later married to a lady named Martha, but nothing is known of her.
The family today has no memories of Robert. They were never around him and he died in 1936 when those left were too young to have memories of him.
