Services for Gilberto Torres Herrera; 32, of Ralls were held Saturday, January 2, 1988 at 2 p.m. at St. Michael´s Catholic Church with the Rev. Tom Parampil officiating.

Burial was in Ralls Cemetery under direction of Carter-Adams Funeral Home.

He died at 5 a.m. Thursday, December 31, 1987 in an automobile accident 22 miles south of San Angelo. Justice of the Peace Charley Long pronounced him dead at the scene and ruled the death accidental.

He was born in Lubbock and lived in Ralls most of his life. He was a member of St. Michael´s Catholic Church.

Survivors include his mother, Bernardina Herrera of Lovington, New Mexico; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Felix Torres of Ralls; three brothers, Manuel Herrera of Spur, Juan Herrera of Lovington and Ruben Castillo of Upper Sandusky, Ohio; two step-brothers, Felix Torres of Ralls and Pete Torres of Dallas; three sisters, Mary Gatica of Slaton, Dolores Hernandez of Lovington and Yolanda Vargas of Aurora, Illinois; three stepsisters, Elena Garcia of Edinburg, Aurora Rodriquez of Ralls and Felecia Hernandez of Dallas; and his grandmother, Petra Galvan of Martindale.
