Rosary for Luz Ramirez Hernandez, 62, of Ralls will be at 7:00 PM, Thursday, August 7, 2008 at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Ralls. Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM, Saturday, August 9, 2008 at the same church with Rev. Ernesto Lopez officiating. Burial will be in the Ralls Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Ralls. Luz passed away on Tuesday, August 5, 2008 at University Medical Center in Lubbock.
He was born October 6, 1945 in Elsa, Texas to Luz Hernandez, Sr. and Olivia Ramirez Hernandez. On January 5, 1974 he married Maria Gonzalez in Crosby County.
Luz moved to Ralls in 1966 from Elsa and was a member of the Catholic Church. He is preceded in death by a brother; Raul Hernandez and a sister; Rosa Garcia.
Survivors include; his wife, Maria of Ralls, four sons; Eddie Hernandez of Lubbock, Freddie Hernandez of Amarillo, Danny Hernandez of Ft. Riley, KS, Johnny Hernandez of Lubbock, two daughters; Olivia Hernandez and Veronica Hernandez both of Lubbock, a brother Arnaldo Hernandez of Ralls, four sisters; Elena Hernandez and Ester Hernandez both of Elsa, Paula Hernandez of Dallas, Olga Hernandez of Minnesota and two grandchildren.
