RALLS (Special) — Services for Jess Henning, 79, of Ralls will be 3 p.m. today at First United Methodist Church here with the Rev. Howard Marcum, pastor, officiating.

Burial will follow at Ralls Cemetery under direction of Carter-Adams Funeral Home.

Henning died Sunday night in Crosbyton hospital.

He was born in Young County and moved to Ralls in 1947 from Olney. The Crosby County heavy equipment operator was married to Letha Dodson March 26, 1949, in Plainview. He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Ralls.

Survivors include his wife; four sons, Bud of Midland, Herbert Westbury of Lubbock, Joe Westbury of Ralls and Randy Westbury of Plano; a daughter, Nora Jean Long of Crosbyton; a brother, Clint of Whitewright; two sisters, Jewel Bryant and Emily Blake, both of Olney; and 14 grandchildren.

Letha HenningServices for Letha Henning, 91 of Ralls will be at 2:00 PM Saturday, January 10, 2009 at the Ralls First United Methodist Church with Rev. Donna Brown officiating. Burial will be in Ralls Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Ralls.

Mrs. Henning passed away Thursday, January 8, 2009 in Lubbock on her 91st birthday.

She was born January 8, 1918 in Wirt, Oklahoma to the late Charlie Alfred and Mary Frances (Reynolds) Dodson. On March 26, 1949 she married Jess Fred Henning in Plainview. He passed away on August 31, 1980.

Letha moved to Ralls in 1947 from Olney and was a member of the Ralls First United Methodist Church where she was a member of the Friendship Sunday School Class. She was the manager of the Ralls school cafeteria for many years. Letha is preceded in death by a son; Charles Westbury who died on November 24, 2008, a granddaughter; Amy Jo Westbury in 1984, eight brothers and a sister.

Survivors include; two sons and their wives; Randy and Roinell Westbury of Plano, Herbert and Linda Westbury of Lubbock, a daughter and her husband; Nora Jean and Jr. Long of Crosbyton and 10 grandchildren; Robbie and Tracy Long of Lockney, Blaine and Rachel Long of Plainview, Larry and Tina Westbury of Willis, David and Karen Westbury of Willis, Tony and Dana Bounds of Littlefield, Robin Bounds of Ft. Worth, Sandy and Jr. Norwood of Big Lake, Ricky and Penny Westbury of McKinney, Ronnie and Christy Westbury of McKinney and Danny Westbury of Lubbock.

Serving as pallbearers will be Robbie Long, Blaine Long, Larry Westbury, David Westbury, Tony Bounds, Jr. Norwood, Ricky Westbury, Ronnie Westbury and Danny Westbury.
