RALLS (Special) —- Services for Curtis L. Hendrick, 72, of Ralls, a former Crosby county commissioner, will be at 2 p.m. today at First United Methodist Church here. The Rev. Howard Marcom and the Rev. E.R. McGregor will officiate.

Burial will follow in Ralls Cemetery under direction of Carter-Adams Funeral Home.

Hendrick died at 6 p.m. Tuesday in Methodist Hospital in Lubbock after a long illness.

He was a native of Jones County and moved to the South Plains in 1939. He married the former Monnye Lee Pruitt on Nov. 6, 1940, in Lorenzo.

The retired farmer was a member of First United Methodist Church. He also was a member of the Ralls Volunteer Fire Department and a representative for Idris Traylor Cotton Co. in Lubbock. He was a life and charter member of the Ralls Lions Club and served as its president from 1956 to 1967.

He served as a county commissioner from 1964 to 1979.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Darla Sims of Groesbeck; two sisters, Mrs. Andy Jones of Stamford and Mrs. L. B. Hammock of Dalhart; a grandson; and a great grandson.

Graveside services for Monnye Lee Hendrick, 82, of Groesbeck and formerly of Ralls were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 16, 1993, in Ralls Cemetery with the Rev. Ron Colwell, pastor of First United Methodist Church, officiating.

Burial was under direction of Carter-Adams Funeral Home of Ralls.

Mrs. Hendrick died Sunday, Nov. 14, 1993, in Limestone Medical Center in Groesbeck following a lengthy illness.

She was born on July 10, 1911, in Erath County. she married Curtis L. Hendrick on Nov. 6, 1940, in Lorenzo. He died on Sept. 22, 1981. She was a retired sales clerk and a member of Ralls First United Methodist Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Darla Sims of Groesbeck; a grandson, Ricky Sims; and a great grandson, Shawn Sims.
