Arch Hendon, 77, a farmer in the Robertson community died about 2 p.m. Sunday in Lubbock´s Methodist Hospital.

Services were conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the First United Methodist Church in Lorenzo. The Rev. James Holman, Pastor, officiated.

He was assisted by R.C. Stapleton, minister of Lorenzo Church of Christ.

Burial was in Ralls Cemetery directed by Carter Funeral Home of Ralls.

A member of the Masonic Lodge and First United Methodist Church. Hendon had been an area resident since 1923 moving from Know City. He was a retired farmer and native of Axcell.

Survivors include his wife, Maudie, and a brother, Tom of Welsh.

Nephews served as pallbearers.

March 26, 1896, Arkansas; d. January 10, 1967, Lorenzo, Crosby County, Texas; m. (2) MAUDIE LANKFORD WILLIAMS, September 19, 1967; b. September 19, 1894; d. 1974, Buried: Knox City, Texas.

PARENTS: ERASTUS LAFAYETTE HENDON was born October 25, 1859 in Starkville, Oktibbeha County, Mississippi, and died December 11, 1931 in Knox City, Texas.
He married FRANCIS ROSELLA WALKER December 26, 1880 in Emory, Mississippi, daughter of THOMAS WALKER and ELIZABETH WHITTINGTON. She was born April 14, 1858 in Holmes County, Mississippi, and died October 28, 1941 in Knox City, Texas. Erastus and Francis are both buried at Knox City Cemetery.
