Services for Laverne Gregory, 64, of Ralls were held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 11, 1996 in the Ralls First United Methodist Church with Rev. Ron Colwell, pastor, officiating.
Burial followed in the Ralls Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Ralls.
Mrs. Gregory was pronounced dead at the Crosbyton Clinic Hospital late Thursday evening following an accident at their farm.
She was born March 16, 1932 in Crosby County and married Clarence T. Gregory August 4, 1949 in Ralls.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Ralls First United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Cone Round Table. She was a member of the Lorenzo Study Club, the Lorenzo Band Boosters and was a leader of the Lorenzo Cub Scouts. She worked for Lubbock´s Plains National Bank for 10 years. She lived in Crosby County all her life.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Norris Stegall, who died Nov. 13, 1993 and a sister, Ozetta Irene Stegall, who died Oct. 8, 1924.
Survivors include her husband, Clarence Gregory of Ralls; 1 son, Loyd Gregory and his wife, Leigh of Ralls; 1 daughter, Shirley Martin and her husband, Tony, of Ralls; 2 brothers, Irvin Stegall and Kenneth Stegall, both of Crosbyton; 1 sister, Olene Jackson of Lubbock and 4 grandchildren; Adina Martin, Carlie Gregory, Travis Gregory and Ryan Gregory, all of Ralls.
Pall Bearers were Arvil Lee Campbell, A. R. Arthur, Charles Gray, J. B. Marshall, Aunie Sellers and Thorn Wilmeth.

Services for Clarence Gregory, 70, of Ralls were held Wednesday, July 15, 1998, at Ralls First Baptist Church with the Rev. Ron Colwell, International Director of Walk to Emmaus in Nashville, TN, Rev. Gary Hubard, pastor of the Ralls First United Methodist Church and Rev. Jim Morrow, pastor of the Ralls first Baptist Church officiating.
Burial was in Ralls Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Ralls.
Gregory died Sunday, July 12, 1998, at his farm North and west of Ralls.
He was born March 1, 1928, in Kennydale, TX. He married LaVerne Stegall on Auguust 4, 1949, in Ralls. She preceded him in death on May 9, 1996. Gregory is also preceded in death by three brothers, William Lloyd Gregory, Porter Glen Gregory, Jr., and Earl Travis Gregory, and by one sister, Pauline Mae Presley.
He was a member of the Ralls First United Methodist Church. He was a former board member of the Farmer School Board and the Lorenzo School Board. He served two years as the Crosby County Farmers Union president. He served as a director for thirty years on the South Plains Telephone Co-Op, Inc., Cone-Caprock exchanges. He was a member of the South Plains Rural Electric CoOp. He served in the Air Force during WWII. He lived in the Ralls area all his life.
He is survived by one daughter and her husband, Shirley and Tony Martin of Ralls; one daughter-in-law, Leigh Gregory of Ralls; one sister, Ethel Laird of Ralls; four grandchildren.
