Biography

William arrived in Texas when he was about 15 years old Information about William Oscar Greer based on the marriage record of William and Alice Greer in Hill County, Texas. At some point, William changed his name to O.W. Greer and that was how he was known in Crosby County - all records are under this name.

He was married to Alice Elizah Mash on Sept. 6 1895 in Hill County, Texas.

Alice Elizah Mash was born in Brandon, Hill County, Texas. She died on 15 Feb. 1978 in Ralls, Crosby County, Texas. William Oscar Greer and Alice Elizah Mash had the following children:

Obituary

RALLS (Special) - Services for Mrs. Alice Marsh Greer, 101, of Ralls will be at 11 a.m. Friday in the First United Methodist Church here, with the Rev. Dick Richards, pastor, and the Rev. Floyd Haddock, pastor of the Ralls First Baptist Church, officiating.

Burial will be in Ralls Cemetery under direction of Carter-Adams Funeral Home.

Mrs. Greer died about 3:55 p.m. Wednesday in a Ralls nursing home after a lengthy illness.

A native of Brandon, she moved to Ralls in 1924. She married Oscar William Greer Sept. 6, 1895. He died in 1940.

Survivors include a son, M. A. Greer of Idalou; two daughters, Mrs. Alice Colville of Ralls and Mrs. Anna Bullman of Littlefield; a sister, Mrs. Maude Brown of Dallas; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
