Services for Charles Edward Green, Jr., 79, of Ralls, were held at 2:00 PM, Monday, February 28, 2005 at the Ralls First Baptist Church with the Rev. Floyd Haddock officiating.
He died Friday, February 25, 2005 at his home in Ralls.
Green was born March 28, 1925 in Crosby County to Charles, Sr. and the former Vada Leona Spinks.
He married Margie Webb on October 25, 1948 in Clovis, New Mexico. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Ralls and the Ralls Veterans of Foreign Wars. He served his country during WWII as a member of the Army. He lived in Crosby County for most of his life.
Green is preceded in death by two brothers; James T. Green and Curtis Green; three sisters, Georgia Polvadore, Addie Mae Cypert, Orene Morris Key and his parents.
Survivors include his wife Margie of Ralls, five sons; Jerry of California, Bobby and his wife Meadow of Lubbock, Pat and his wife Chong Min of Junction City, Kansas, Mike and his wife Suzy of Tahoka, Jeffery and his wife Karen of Holland, Texas and a daughter; Sherry Bates of Lubbock, one sister; Charlotte Loper of Lubbock, 10 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
