RALLS (Special) Services for R. C. Gray, 80, of Ralls will be at 4 p.m. today in Emma Church of Christ with the Rev. Jim Morrow, pastor of Ralls First Baptist Church, officiating. Roy Shave, minister, will assist.Burial will be in Ralls Cemetery under direction of Carter-Adams Funeral Home.
He died at 3:55 p.m. Monday in Crosbyton Clinic Hospital after a lengthy illness.
He was born in Madill, Okla., and moved from Tahoka to Ralls in 1953. He married Edith Rutledge on Oct. 23, 1931, in Atoka, Okla. He was a butcher and a market manager. He was a Mason and a member of the Church of Christ. A daughter, Deborah "Sam" Day, died on Aug. 27, 1991.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Glen of Lincoln, Neb., Bourley of Lubbock and Dwight of Le Mars, Iowa; two daughters, Lenora Thompson of Amarillo and Zuella Kemp of Lubbock; a sister, Wanda Hankin of Tishomingo, Okla.; 14 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-granddaughter.
Pallbearers will be Buddy Payne, Carrol Robertson, Billy Bob Wright, Kenny Jones, Dennis May and Jimmy Moore.

Edith Gray, 98, of Ralls went to be with her Lord on November 24, 2014.
She was born on January 18, 1916 to Lewis and Susie Winklepeck Rutledge in Oklahoma. She married the late R.C. Gray on October 23, 1931 in Atoka, Oklahoma. Edith spent her time caring for her family. She loved to cook and craft, and was a great artist.
She is preceded in death by her husband; R.C. Gray, two daughters; Deborah �Sam� Day, and Lenora Thompson, grandson, Brooks, and granddaughter Kathy.
Edith is survived by one daughter; Zuella Kemp and husband Mack of Lubbock, three sons; Gerald Glen Gray and wife Anne of Chattanooga,TN., Bourley Gray and wife Rita of Lubbock, Dwight Gray and wife Gaile of Dalhart, fourteen grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, and eight great great-grandchildren.
Services will be held 2:00 P.M. Friday, November 28, 2014 at the Ralls Cemetery Chapel. Burial will follow in the Ralls Cemetery under the care of Adams Funeral Home.
