U.S.Flag RALLS (Special) - Services for Mahlon W. Gibson, 71, of Ralls will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Mike Struve, pastor, and the Rev. Russ Byard officiating.

Burial will be in Ralls Cemetery under direction of Carter-Adams Funeral Home.

He died at 10 a.m. Sunday in Lakeside Nursing Home in Lubbock after a lengthy illness.

He was born in Decatur County, Ind., and moved to Ralls in 1980. He married Joyce N. Duncan on Sept. 14, 1974, in Clovis, N.M. He retired after 20 years of service in the U. S. Air Force and was a veteran of World War II. He worked for Lawrence Brothers Grocery Store in Ralls after retirement. He was a member of First United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, Dick of Amarillo and Joe and Randy, both of Rio Rancho, N.M.; a stepson, Jason Duncan of Amarillo; two daughters, Cheryl Walton of Amarillo and Barbie Gibson of Tupper Lake, N.Y.; a stepdaughter, Pamela Duncan of Fort Worth; a brother, Bill of Indianapolis, Ind.; two sisters, Gwneth Bray of Bloomington, Ind., and Margaret Moore of Spencer, Ind.; and 11 grandchildren.
