Services for Josephine Texanna Edwards, 68, of Ralls, were held at 2 p.m. Thursday, February 12, 1987 in First United Methodist Church with elders A.Y. Lauterdale and S.R. Anderson officiating.Burial was in Ralls Cemetery under the direction of Carter-Adams Funeral Home.
She died at 5:56 p.m. Monday, February 9, 1987 in Crosbyton Clinic Hospital after a lengthy illness.
She was born in Waxahachie and moved to Ralls in 1924. She married Willie Edwards on June 22, 1954, in Lovington, N.M. He died in 1984. She was a housewife and a member of the Temple of Christ Tabernacle.
Survivors include a son, Frank Williams of Amarillo; a stepson, Samuel Edwards of Wichita, Kan.; two brothers, A.Y. Lauterdale of Ralls and L.J. Lauterdale of Lubbock; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
