Services for Vivian Cypert, 68, of Lorenzo, were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 9, 1993, in the Lorenzo First Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry Golden, pastor, officiating.Burial followed in the Ralls Cemetery under direction of Carter-Adams Funeral Home.
Mrs. Cypert died at 4:45 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 7, 1993, in Lubbock´s St. Mary´s Hospital following a brief illness.
She was born May 2, 1924, in Spur. She moved to Ralls from Spur in 1925. As a girl, she worked at the Security State Bank & Trust Co. in Ralls and also at the Piggly Wiggly in Ralls. She was a 1942 graduate of Ralls High School. She married Marvin Cypert July 5, 1946, in Clovis, N.M. She and Mr. Cypert moved to Lorenzo in 1947 from Ralls. She was a member of the Lorenzo First Baptist Church. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Lubbock Chapter #76, then later a member of the Idalou Chapter #890 of the Order of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include her husband, Marvin Cypert of Lorenzo; two sons, Roger Cypert and Randy Cypert both of Lorenzo; two daughters, Rhonda Klein of Lubbock and Roxie Powers of Pampa; one brother, Buran House of Ralls; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were David Simmons, Jerry Swetnam, Dennis Yardley, Marvin Schoepf, Don Nickson and Elmer Simmons.
