Former Lubbock Resident Dies

RALLS (Special) — Services for William Alexander Currie, 61, resident of Ralls and former resident of Lubbock, will be at 2 p.m. today in Ralls First Methodist Church with the Rev. Conrad Ryan, pastor, officiating.

Burial will be in Ralls Cemetery under direction of Carter Funeral Home.

Currie died at Crosbyton Hospital about 6:30 a.m. Thursday. He had been in ill health for the past several months.

Born at Leighton Buzzard in Bedfordshire, England, Currie had resided in Ralls for the past 15 years, moving here from Lubbock where he lived for eight years.

Currie was an accountant for Al Cooper Ford Motor Co. here.

Survivors include the wife, Benevis; a son, William M., Corpus Christi; a daughter, Mrs. Larry N. Moses, Ralls; and a sister, Marjorie L. Currie, London, England.
