Services for Virginia Myrle Anderson, 48, of Lubbock will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Hope Deliverance Temple Church of God in Christ with the Rev. Charles Tanner, pastor, officiating.
Burial will be in Ralls Cemetery under direction of Curry Funeral Home.
Mrs. Anderson died Monday at her residence after a sudden illness.
She was born in Howland and moved to Lubbock in 1967. She married S. Ray Anderson on Feb. 24, 1962, in Ralls. She graduated from Methodist Hospital School of Nursing and was a licensed vocational nurse and registered nurse at Methodist Hospital.
She was director of nurses at Parkway Manor Nursing Home for five years. She was district supervisor and missionary of Post District National Evangelist Church of God in Christ Inc. She was a member of Anderson Chapel Church of God in Christ.
Survivors include her husband; a son, Michael R. of Lubbock; two daughters, Shirley R. Barber of Dallas and Kimberly D. Anderson of Lubbock; her mother, Thetis V. McQueen of Ralls; two brothers, T.L. McQueen Jr. of Ralls and Terry P. McQueen of Dallas; and seven sisters, Ida Middleton of Denver, Colo., Betty Carr, Dollene Holyfield, and Carla McQueen, all of Dallas, Alice Quincy of Red Oak, Donna Eakes of Memphis, Tenn., and Pamela Benson of Hutchins.
