Obituary

Services for Lillie Pearl Anderson, 79, of Lubbock will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Agape Church of God in Christ with Kirby Thomas officiating.

Burial will be in Ralls Cemetery under the direction of Ossie Curry Funeral Home.

She died Friday, May 4, 2001.

She was born May 3, 1922, in Ballinger. She married V.C. Anderson on Sept. 27, 1985, in El Paso. She moved to Lubbock in 1969 from Ballinger. She was a member of Agape Church of God in Christ. She retired in 1992 from University Medical Center hospital as a cook.

Survivors include her husband; two stepdaughters, Martha Mae Mullins of Lubbock and Gladys Anderson of Colorado City; and three stepsons, Karl Edward and Vernon, both of Lubbock, and Jackie Len of Fresno, Calif.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Services for V.C. Anderson Sr., 70, of Lubbock will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Agape Temple Church of God in Christ with Bishop W.H. Watson officiating.

Burial will be in Ralls Cemetery under the direction of Ossie Curry Funeral Home of Lubbock.

He died Monday, April 8, 2002.

He was born Aug. 28, 1931, in Ghosin and married Lillie Pearl McDaniels on Sept. 27, 1985, in El Paso. She died May 4, 2001. He attended school in Hillsboro and moved to Ralls in 1950. He moved to Lubbock in 1962 and served in the Army during the Korean conflict. He retired as a maintenance supervisor at the old Pioneer Hotel in downtown Lubbock.

Survivors include three sons, Jackie of Fresno, Calif., and Vernon Jr. and Carl Edward, both of Lubbock; a daughter, Gladys Ann of Colorado City; three brothers, Ivory Scott of Los Angeles, Calif., Milford Anderson Sr. of Sacramento, Calif., and Cedell Anderson of Ralls; a sister, Ora Jean of Ralls; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
