Three Ralls Men Killed In Wreck At McAdoo
Fog Blamed for Car-Truck Colision Wednesday Afternoon
A tragic accident taking the lives of three men occurred in the fog and light mist falling in the area near McAdoo early Wednesday afternoon as the car in which they were riding crashed head on into a truck while attempting to pass a large trailer-truck.Killed in the collision were Butler Adams, 65, James Butler Adams, 24, his son, and R. L. McHam Jr., all of Ralls.
The Oldsmobile in which the victims were riding was demolished as was the cab part of the truck. The two vehicles were welded together by the force of the smashup.
The driver of the truck, J. H. Biggerstaff, 40 of Benjamin was not injured.
The driver of the truck which the Ralls trio had been attempting to pass heard the crash and returned to the scene. All of the men were dead by the time the two truck drivers reached them.
All three bodies were brought to Chandler Funeral Home and later were taken to Marr-Carter Funeral Home in Ralls.
