Memorial services for Jimmie Adams, 92, of Ralls, will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 26, 2010, at the Ralls First Baptist Church with Rev. Larry Carson officiating. Private burial will be in the Ralls Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Ralls.
Jimmie passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 23, 2010 at University Medical Center in Lubbock. He was born Sept. 9, 1917 in Ralls, to the late Butler Christopher and Grace Hellen (Smyer) Adams. On Dec. 28, 1937, he married Naomi Elizabeth Wilson in Ralls.
A lifelong resident of Ralls, he was a member of the Ralls First Baptist Church and a farmer. Jimmie was also a member of the Emma Masonic Lodge #931 and the Order of Eastern Star #169 where he was a Past Worthy Patron. He was preceded in death by a son, Neil Adams in 1981; four brothers, James Butler in 1954, Joe Edd in 1969, Billy Butler in 1979 and Alvie in 1994; and three sisters, Ruby Bowers in 1975, Bonnie Howard in 2004 and Connie Griffith in 2005.
Survivors include, his wife of 72 years, Naomi of Ralls; a son and his wife, Kenny and Barbara Adams of Ralls; a sister, Annie Phipps of Amarillo; four grandchildren, Janet Thornton, Layne Adams, Devin Adams and Steven Adams and 11 great-grandchildren.

Services for Naomi Adams, 90, of Ralls will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 26, 2010 at the Ralls First Baptist Church with Rev. Floyd Haddock officiating. Private family burial will follow in the Ralls Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Ralls.
Naomi passed away on June 24, 2010 at Vista Care Center in Lubbock. She was born Sep. 11, 1919 in Aubrey, Denton County, Texas to the late T. H. and Abigail (Ford) Wilson. On Dec. 28, 1937 she married Jimmie Adams in Ralls. He preceded her in death on Feb. 23, 2010.
Naomi was a member of the Ralls First Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday School for 35 years. Naomi was also a member and past Matron of the Order of Eastern Star #169, past president of the PTA and Charter member and past president of the Ralls Band Booster Club.
She was preceded in death by a son, Neil Adams, who died in June of 1981, and a sister, Fern McCorkle.
Survivors include a son and his wife, Kenny and Barbara Adams of Ralls; a sister, Gwynn Ward of Lubbock; four grandchildren, Janet Thornton, Layne Adams, Devin Adams and Steven Adams; and 11 great-grandchildren.
