Rites Read For Bill Abell at Ralls Tuesday
Funeral services for Billie Wayne Abell, 44, former Ralls resident, were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the First United Methodist Church of Wichita Falls and graveside services were held at 3 p.m. Tuesday in the Ralls Cemetery.
Abell and five other persons were killed Sunday on a curve of U.S. 82 one mile east of Dundee when two automobiles in which they were riding met on a curve.
The others killed were all members of a Seymour family
Abell was a veteran of World War II and a graduate of Texas Tech.
Abell and his family had resided in Lubbock until about three years ago when he moved to Wichita Falls where he was a Shell distributor. He is survived by his wife, the former Charlotte Hill of Lubbock; two sons, Hill and Robert; a daughter, Ann, all of Wichita Falls; and three brothers, Roy, Jr., Earl C. and Lyman Abell, all of Ralls.
