Funeral rites for Mrs. Mary Ann Simkins, 88, were held at 3:30 p.m. Monday in the First United Methodist Church with the Reverend Lee Crouch officiating.

Mrs. Simkins died about 1 a.m. Sunday in the Crosbyton Hospital.

Burial was in Lorenzo Cemetery under direction of King Funeral Home.

A native of Hunt County, Mrs. Simkins moved to Crosby County in 1923 and came to Crosbyton in 1948.

She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Bob Ellis of Crosbyton and Mrs. John Dyer of Abilene; and two sons, John Simkins, of Lorenzo and B.F. Simkins of Lubbock and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
