Services for Mabel Shipman, 94, of Lubbock will be at 4 p.m. Tuesday in Sanders Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Jimmy McGuire, associate pastor at Bacon Heights Baptist Church, officiating.

Burial in Lorenzo Cemetery will be directed by Sanders Funeral Home.

Mrs. Shipman died Sunday, Aug. 28, 1994, in University Manor.

She was born Dec. 4, 1899, in Throckmorton County and moved to Lubbock in 1950. She married Clarence Alvah Shipman on April 15, 1920, in Red Springs. He died June 21, 1986. She was a member of University Baptist Church. A son, Billy Shipman, died July 4, 1994.

She was a retired pastry cook and had worked for the Lubbock Independent School District.

She is survived by a daughter, Maurine Allen of Abernathy; a son, Ralph of Lubbock; a sister, Millie Wallas of Brownfield; six grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and a great great grandson.
