Services for Alvah C. Shipman, 90, of Lubbock will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Sanders Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Jimmy McQuire officiating.

Burial will be in Lorenzo Cemetery under the direction of Sanders Funeral Home.

He died at 3:30 p.m. Saturday in Sherwood Health Care Center after a lengthy illness.

He was born in Dublin and married Mabel Dunlap on April 7, 1920, in Red Springs. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, and was a retired carpenter.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Ralph of Lubbock and Billy of Salinas, Kan.; a daughter, Maurine Allen, of Abernathy; six grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.

Grandsons will be pallbearers.
