LORENZO (Special) - Graveside services for Vidal Samarripas, 65, of Lorenzo will be at 5 p.m. today at Lorenzo Cemetery with Carter-Adams Funeral Home directing.

He was declared dead at 9:50 a.m. Thursday at his Lorenzo home by Justice of the Peace Jim S. Travis after a domestic dispute erupted into gunfire.

He was born in Ramon, Mexico. He married Lupe DeLos Santos Jan. 3, 1937, in Harlingen. He was a farmer and had lived in the Crosby County area for the past 25 years.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, Paul of Denver, Vida Jr. of Lorenzo, Rodolfo of Lubbock; six daughters, Isabel Chavez, Lupe Hinjos, Mary Samarripas and Adela Luna, all of Lorenzo, Eva Lopez of Abernathy, Sofia Gonzales of Lubbock; a brother, Vincent of Harlingen; a sister, Mary Samarripas of Houston; 40 grandchildren; and a great grandchild.
